OPPORTUNITY

The Future of Everything magazine by The Wall Street Journal explores groundbreaking ideas and innovations. For its fourth issue, I was tasked with creating a campaign to amplify the magazine’s themes and engage readers across digital, print, and social platforms.

CHALLENGE

The campaign needed to reflect The Wall Street Journal’s sophisticated brand identity while presenting an unexpected and fresh take that would captivate audiences across diverse formats, including print ads, digital banners, animated GIFs, and social media content.

SOLUTIONS

Fresh yet Grounded Concept: I conceptualized the campaign by reimagining each magazine topic as a tarot card. Using WSJ’s iconic stipple illustrations, I grounded the campaign in the brand’s established identity while presenting the stipples in a surprising, creative format.

Hands-On Execution: I led the project from start to finish, designing and resizing print ads for major publications like The Wall Street Journal, New York Magazine, Fortune Magazine, and Barron’s. I also created 21 sizes of banner ads, animated GIFs, and social content for a seamless multi-channel rollout.

RESULTS

The campaign stood out with its blend of brand familiarity and creative novelty, engaging the target audience and amplifying the magazine’s reach. The tarot-inspired visuals brought a fresh perspective to WSJ’s iconic style, elevating The Future of Everything and reinforcing WSJ’s reputation for innovation and quality. Leading this project showcased the power of blending tradition with fresh creativity to achieve impactful results.
